eCoordinator Version 6.2 has been released!
We are pleased to announce that eCoordinator version 6.2 has been released. An entirely new look for volunteer registration forms and additional survey options have been added to our integrated criminal background checking and other advanced features to make Samaritan the ultimate volunteer coordination software.
New features are listed below, by product. Recruiter consists of the web forms that volunteers interact with to find opportunities, register, review schedules / assignments, report performance and take surveys. eCoordinator is the administrative tool you use to manage volunteers, opportunities, schedules, logbooks, reports and organization records.
Recruiter:
- Popups can now be completely eliminated from Recruiter.
- The fields in the Recruiter volunteer profiles can be rearranged in any order with any field on any tab or all fields on a single tab.
- Dropdown list user defined fields can be displayed as radio buttons or checkboxes if you prefer.
- The volunteer profile now has vertically expanding and collapsing sections instead of tabs.
- All of the Recruiter tabs can be made much more attractive with a look and feel that much more closely matches your website.
- The volunteer "View my schedule" function now displays the schedule in a calendar format.
Implementing any of the above Recruiter changes is not automatic and requires customization work to get the look and feel you want. Consequently, there is a cost associated with making the change to the new Recruiter format. Unless an existing customer specifically requests to switch to the new format, the old style Recruiters will continue to operate the same as before and no additional costs will be incurred.
Surveys:
- Surveys are now created at the account level and are attached as you desire to specific opportunities. This allows you to reuse the same survey for more than one opportunity. It also allows you to modify or change the default survey that is attached to all opportunities in your account. If you desire you can have more than one default survey.
- You now have complete control over the look, feel, content of surveys.
- The same HTML editor that is part of the eCoordinator e-mail system is now part of the screen for creating and editing surveys.
- You can also copy surveys to enhance flexibility.
Administrative Options:
- Sign-in Setup Options and Survey creation and editing tools are now located on tabbed pages under Administrative Options on the eCoordinator Tools menu.
Other items:
- You can now edit or rename the choices for dropdown list user defined fields in profiles and surveys.
- The Additional Information fields in the volunteer and opportunity profiles are now 1,000 characters long. The previous limit was 255 characters.
New Versions of Coordinator CS and our Exchange API:
Additionally, we have upgraded Coordinator CS (our Windows PC based software) to version 6.0 as well as Exchange (our data transfer service used to upload or download data) to version 3.0.
